Jacoby's Favorite Protein Smoothie

1 1/2 scoops chocolate protein powder
1/2 c. oatmeal
2 T. peanut butter
2 T. chocolate chips
1 T. chia seeds

1 banana, frozen
1/2 c. vanilla yogurt
1 c. milk

Ice, if desired

Blend all the ingredients together and enjoy!

* Jacoby's favorite protein powder is Bucked Up

** You could put the first 5  ingredients in a ziplock sandwich bag and store them in the cupboard until you are ready to use them.  You could add the banana to the bag if you have space in the freezer.  If the banana is frozen, you won't need to add ice.

Olivia’s soft chocolate chip cookies

  • 3 1/2 c flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 1 12-ounce package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream the butter, brown sugar, and sugar for 1-2 minutes or until well combined. Add eggs and vanilla. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Add in the dry ingredients and continue mixing until just combined. Add chocolate chips on low-speed until fully incorporated into the cookie dough.

Cover the cookie dough and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Scoop the cookie dough into balls and drop onto baking sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden brown and the tops are set. Remove from the oven and cool.
